Enriched Air (Nitrox) Diver

Enriched air, also known as nitrox or EANx, contains less nitrogen than regular air. Breathing less nitrogen means you can enjoy longer dives and shorter surface intervals. It also introduces a margin of safety for divers at shallower depths.

After completing your eLearning, we will meet for a classroom demonstration where you will analyze the gas content in tanks provided for you. Please note, this class does not include any actual dives. For that reason, although this course can be taken on its own, we recommend pairing it with Advanced Open Water (AOW) or the Deep Diver specialty to gain additional in-water experience.
